"When I entered the gathering at East Ward, there was a presence there that I literally felt. It was as if the demons that had been tormenting me were not allowed through the doors of that space."

Thank you to all who gave for the first time in 2019. You're investing in eternity as we help people meet, know, and follow Jesus!
"Giving back to God has been a part of my family since I can remember. Having watched how God has blessed my parents (and now me) as a direct result of obeying Him in this way, I am absolutely certain that He not only returns what we give but exceeds it in measures and ways that I never expected! Have I always been faithful in giving? No. But God has used those periods to teach me that His principle of giving is true – “give and it shall be given to you; pressed down, shaken together, and running over.”
~ Todd
From Pastor Jason
I initially felt God's leading to launch Mission Community Church about six years ago. Interestingly, prior to that, church planting was a thought that never fired across my synapses, and, in fact, I thought church planters were a little crazy...
Well, this past September marked our 4th anniversary as a community of faith!
God did some amazing things over this last year. Twenty-eight people made first-time decisions for Jesus and 10 people entered into the waters of baptism (70 total since the church launched). Countless others renewed their commitment to Jesus and made faith decisions in response to what God was calling them to do at the moment. More and more people caught the vision of our church as our volunteer teams grew. And, new people checked us out each and every week. We get to be part of God's mission of helping people meet, know, and follow Jesus.
Our financial position as a church continues to greatly encourage me. The generosity and obedience of all who gave over the last year are yet another example of faith and trust in God with all aspects of life, including finances. Without the sacrificial generosity of many, much of what is called Mission would not be here today. And, because of all that's happened in 2019, I'm really excited about what's in store for us in 2020.
As we begin this new year, allow me to both encourage and challenge us with this thought: the kingdom of God moves at the speed of sacrifice. All of redemption depends on the grace and mercy of God through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. Jesus is everything. Therefore, because of Jesus' sacrifice for us, we sacrifice ourselves as we partner with God in the advancement of His Kingdom one soul at a time.
There are still so many people in Chester County (and around the world) that need to hear the good news of Jesus Christ. How will you leverage your time, talents, and treasures to help people meet, know, and follow Jesus in 2020?
God is doing and will continue to do great things!
Richest blessings,
Jason Houck
