MEET RHYS SEARLES
Rhys (pronounced “Reese”) grew up in Southern New Hampshire. While in middle school and high school, he was heavily involved in sports and youth group. During a missions trip to Ukraine with his school, he was deeply moved by the students in orphanages and, upon arrival back to New Hampshire, he knew God was calling him into student ministry.
After graduating from Nashua Christian Academy, he headed to Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA, where he studied and continued to work closely with local youth ministries. In December 2008, Rhys received his undergraduate degree in Student Ministries. While at Geneva College he also focused some of his studies on developmental psychology, specifically birth to adolescence.
Over the last 12 years, Rhys has worked in churches of all shapes and sizes. His vast experience is cause for excitement here at Mission Community Church to help students understand, build, and cultivate real authentic relationships with Jesus. If you are just as passionate about having a blast with students, or you have students who would love to get involved with MissionStudents, please email Rhys.
Rhys resides just outside of Downingtown, PA, with his wife Hannah, and their three kids, Rhys II, Owen, and Concetta (CeCe).
